Cafiot (“we”, “our”, “us”) respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users to do the same.
This Copyright & Takedown Policy explains how copyright owners can notify us of alleged infringement and how Cafiot responds to such notices.
This Policy is designed in accordance with:

- Nature of Cafiot’s Platform
Cafiot is a link-based, crowd-powered media awareness platform.
Important clarifications:
- Cafiot does not host, upload, stream, or store third-party media
- Cafiot only displays user-submitted links and thumbnails (where permitted)
- All media content remains hosted on third-party platforms
- Cafiot does not control or modify external content
Because of this, Cafiot functions as an intermediary platform, not a content publisher.
- Reporting Copyright Concerns
If you believe that content referenced on Cafiot infringes your copyright, you may submit a takedown request.

Your notice must include:
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed
- The specific Cafiot link(s) referencing the allegedly infringing content
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is unauthorized
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate
- Your name, address, email, and electronic or physical signature
Incomplete notices may not be processed.
- What Cafiot Will Do Upon Valid Notice
Upon receiving a valid copyright notice, Cafiot may:
- Disable or remove the reference or thumbnail from Cafiot
- Restrict visibility of the reported link
- Notify the user who submitted the link (where applicable)
- Take additional action as required by law
Cafiot does not remove content from third-party platforms.
Requests to remove the original content must be directed to the hosting platform.
- Counter-Notification
If you believe a takedown was submitted in error, you may submit a counter-notice to:

The counter-notice must include:
- Identification of the removed reference
- A statement under penalty of perjury that the removal was mistaken
- Your contact details
- Consent to jurisdiction where applicable
Upon receipt, Cafiot may restore the reference unless prohibited by law.
- Repeat Infringers
Cafiot reserves the right to:
- Limit reporting privileges
- Suspend or terminate accounts of users who repeatedly submit infringing or abusive content
This policy is enforced at Cafiot’s discretion.
- Fair Use & Commentary
Cafiot recognizes that:
- Linking, reporting, and commentary may qualify as fair use
- Community discussion and analysis are legitimate uses
However, fair use determinations are fact-specific and may require legal review.
- Platform Neutrality
Cafiot:
- Does not favor or discriminate against any platform
