This Account Deletion & Data Retention Policy explains how users can delete their account and how Cafiot (“we”, “our”, “us”) retains or deletes data in connection with the Cafiot mobile application, web application, and related services (“Services”).
This Policy supplements our Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions, and Data Safety & Processing Disclosure.
- User Right to Delete Account
Cafiot provides users with the right to request deletion of their account and associated personal data at any time, subject to applicable laws and legitimate business requirements.
Account deletion is permanent and may not be reversible.
- How to Request Account Deletion
Users may request account deletion by:
Option 1: In-App Request
- Navigate to Settings → Account → Delete Account
- Confirm deletion request
Option 2: Email Request
- Email privacy@cafiot.com from the registered email address
- Include subject: Account Deletion Request
Requests are verified to prevent unauthorized deletion.
- What Happens After Deletion Request
Once a valid deletion request is received:
3.1 Account Access
- User access is disabled
- Login credentials are invalidated
3.2 Personal Data Removal
Within 30 days, Cafiot will:
- Delete or anonymize personal identifiers (email, phone number, profile data)
- Remove authentication records
- Disable analytics association with the user
3.3 Retained Data (Anonymized)
To preserve platform integrity, Cafiot may retain:
- Anonymized and aggregated reports or votes
- Statistical and analytical data without personal identifiers
- Data required to prevent fraud or abuse

- Legal & Regulatory Retention
Cafiot may retain limited data where required to:
- Comply with legal obligations
- Respond to lawful requests
- Resolve disputes
- Enforce Terms & Conditions
- Prevent fraud or misuse
Such data is retained only for the legally mandated period.
- Firebase & Third-Party Systems
Upon deletion:
- User records are removed from Firebase Authentication
- Associated Firestore records are deleted or anonymized
- Crash and analytics data is dissociated from the user
Deletion timing may vary slightly depending on third-party processing cycles.
- Subscription & Payments
Deleting an account:
- Does not automatically cancel app store subscriptions
- Subscriptions must be managed through Google Play Store / Apple App Store
- Refunds are governed by app store policies
- Children’s Data
Cafiot does not knowingly maintain accounts for users under 13 years of age. If such an account is identified, it will be deleted promptly.
- Exceptions & Limitations
Cafiot may decline or delay deletion requests where:
- Identity verification fails
- Data must be retained for legal or security reasons
- Abuse, fraud, or misuse is under investigation
Users will be informed where applicable.
- Policy Updates
This Policy may be updated from time to time. Changes will be posted with a revised “Last Updated” date.
Continued use of the Services indicates acceptance of the updated Policy.

Important Notice
